01Information We Handle
ServePOS does not require users to create a ServePOS account or sign in to use its main POS features.
Most information entered into ServePOS is stored locally on the user's device.
Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
- Restaurant information
- Menu items and categories
- Product names and prices
- Orders and order history
- Table and seat information
- Receipt information
- Sales information and reports
- Printer configuration
- App settings and preferences
This information is used to provide ServePOS functionality.
02Local Data Storage
ServePOS is designed to work offline. Restaurant and POS information is primarily stored locally on your device.
We do not automatically upload your restaurant, menu, order, sales, or receipt information to our own servers.
Users are responsible for protecting access to their devices and maintaining appropriate backups of important data.
03Google Sign-In
Google Sign-In is optional. You do not need to sign in with Google to use the main ServePOS functionality.
Google Sign-In is used when you choose to connect the Cloud Backup feature.
When you connect your Google account, Google may provide information necessary to authenticate your account and authorize Google Drive access.
ServePOS does not collect or store your Google account password.
Google processes information according to its own privacy policies and terms.
04Google Drive Cloud Backup
ServePOS provides an optional Google Drive backup feature.
When you enable Cloud Backup, ServePOS may upload backup files containing your POS data to your Google Drive account.
Depending on the information stored in ServePOS, a backup may include:
- Restaurant settings
- Menu and category information
- Orders and order history
- Tables and seats
- Sales information
- Reports
- Receipt information
- Other locally stored POS data required to restore the application
Cloud Backup is optional and is only enabled when the user chooses to connect a Google account.
Automatic backups may run according to the schedule selected by the user, such as every 6, 12, or 24 hours.
Users can restore and delete available backups through the application's backup functionality.
Google Drive access is used only to provide backup and restore functionality requested by the user.
05Firebase Services
ServePOS uses certain Google Firebase services to support application functionality, including authentication required for optional Google account integration.
Firebase may process limited technical or authentication information necessary to provide these services.
ServePOS is designed so that if Firebase is unavailable, the main offline POS functionality can continue to operate.
Information processed by Firebase is subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.
06Printer and Network Access
ServePOS supports compatible receipt and kitchen printers.
Depending on the printer and device, ServePOS may use:
- Bluetooth
- Nearby device access
- Wi-Fi
- Local network access
- Ethernet/network printer IP addresses
These capabilities are used to discover, connect to, and communicate with printers.
Printer configuration information may be stored locally on your device to make future printing easier.
07Receipts, PDFs and File Sharing
ServePOS can generate receipts, reports, and PDF files.
Users may choose to:
- Print receipts
- Generate PDF receipts
- Save files to their device
- Share receipts or reports through other applications
When you choose to share information with another application, that application may process the shared information according to its own privacy policy.
ServePOS does not control how third-party applications handle information that users voluntarily share with them.
08ServePOS Pro and In-App Purchases
ServePOS may provide optional premium functionality through ServePOS Pro.
Premium features may be purchased using authorized app-store payment systems such as Google Play Billing or Apple's In-App Purchase system.
Payment transactions for these purchases are processed by the applicable app store.
ServePOS does not directly collect or store complete credit card or debit card details used for app-store purchases.
09How Information Is Used
Information handled by ServePOS may be used to:
- Provide POS functionality
- Manage restaurant orders
- Manage menu items and categories
- Manage tables, seats and courses
- Generate receipts and reports
- Connect to supported printers
- Provide backup and restore functionality
- Maintain application settings
- Provide optional premium functionality
- Maintain the security and reliability of the application
We do not sell users' personal information.
11Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored locally by ServePOS remains on your device until you delete the information, clear the application's data, or uninstall the application, subject to your device's operating system and backup settings.
Google Drive backups may remain in your Google account until they are deleted using ServePOS or applicable Google account/Drive controls.
Cloud Backup is optional.
Users may choose not to connect a Google account and may disconnect their Google account from the backup functionality.
12Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled through ServePOS.
However, no electronic storage system, device, network, or method of data transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should protect their devices using appropriate security measures and maintain backups of important restaurant data.
13Children's Privacy
ServePOS is a business and restaurant management application and is not designed or directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through ServePOS.
14Application Permissions
ServePOS may request device permissions necessary for specific functionality.
For example, Bluetooth or nearby-device permissions may be required to discover and connect to supported printers.
Permissions are used only to provide the relevant application functionality.
Users can manage application permissions through their device settings.
15Third-Party Services
ServePOS may use services provided by third parties, including Google and Apple.
The use of these services may be subject to the privacy policies and terms of the respective service providers.
We encourage users to review the privacy policies of these providers for additional information.
16Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when ServePOS functionality, legal requirements, or third-party services change.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be published with an updated effective date.
